Why wasn't the competition even announced here this year?

No announcement of the competition's beginning? No announcement of
the winners either? What the hell?

Hi Ross,

My guess is that this group is virtually dead. Everybody's gone off to
forums or blogs or facebook or twitter.

I still subscribe to the group and there have been maybe 100 posts
this year - mostly about banality.

So it's not hard to see why people don't see a need to post about the
IF competition here.

Just in case someone else is interested in interactive fiction

Regards,
Peter.

There still are people reading this newsgroup. Not as many as there used
to be, but they exist.
